Peter is thrilled to be returning to lead a very special painting retreat at the stunning 5-star experience at Chateau Puy Vidal. Peter lead a painting retreat at this venue in the spring of 2024 and was amazed by the inspiring location and the wonderful hospitality given by the generous hosts.
The week will focus on the precise painting techniques and approaches used by many of the French Impressionist masters from Monet to Cezanne to Sisley. Art history lectures combined with detailed breakdowns of the palate, pacing, composition and impressionist painting strategies each day will help you to tackle the magnificent French landscapers, interiors and still-lifes surrounding you at the Chateau. There will be numerous demonstration as well as plenty of time for individual guidance and support, whether you’re an artist at the beginning of your journey, or a long time painter.
