About this course

This little online workshop will help give you confidence in your oil painting. We will focus on numerous techniques such as mixing perfect colours, how to build and construct the painting so colours do not become muddy and how to stop over working and fussing the painting so it retains it’s strength and impact as a painterly painting,

During the 2 lessons, you will cover the following:

  • The ability to watch the lessons as many times as you need before Feb 2027.

  • Detailed structured teaching notes that accompany each specific lesson.

  • Excellent, high-quality reference images to work from or you’re welcome to work from your own images or still-life set-up

  • Suggested materials list.

By the end of this course, you will have created at least 2 different still-life paintings.

Peter uses oil paints throughout this course, although it would also be of use to those artists who prefer working in acrylics as Peter does talk about how he would use acrylics in some of the lessons.
