Would you love to paint honey coloured cottages covered in roses? Sweeping green and pleasant countryside landscapes? Or shimmering water reflecting the ancient trees and buildings above? If so, then this 5-lesson online painting class is for you.

We will paint 5 different picturesque Cotswolds scenes, each with a specific focus on a different regional area, season and different aspect of painting and technique.

Who is this class for?

These classes are suitable for artists of all abilities, looking to improve their painting skills and create inspiring and impactful paintings with confidence and enjoyment.

Materials: This workshop will be taught with the medium of oil paint. However, artists working with acrylic paints are also warmly welcomed to join, as many of the methods would be suitable for this medium.

During the 5 lessons, we will cover the following:

  • Lesson 1: Painting a sweeping countryside view using a limited colour palette

  • Lesson 2: Painting watery reflections and discussing where and when to use painting mediums

  • Lesson 3: Painting buildings along a river and how not to get overwhelmed by subject matter

  • Lesson 4: Painting a snow covered street and looking at the power of colour temperature

  • Lesson 5: Painting a sunlit doorway covered with wisteria and looking at keeping your brushwork loose

What is included:

  • 5 x 3 hour live classes on Monday mornings from 10am (UK time) from 16th November

By the end of this course, you will have created at least 5 different paintings from copyright free reference images.
