Alla Prima is the term given to the ‘painted sketch’, working wet-into-wet with oil paint. All of these portraits were painted in no more than 2 hours each and done as a demonstration whilst teaching the skills of painting to an audience or class. All are 50 x 40 cm, oil on canvas.
